About Noor Al-Souqi , AuD
Noor Al-Souqi, AuD, specializes in cochlear implant audiology at Keck Medicine of USC. She works primarily with adult patients, helping them determine whether they would benefit from a cochlear implant and assisting them get accustomed to the device after implantation. Al-Souqi also performs comprehensive audiological evaluations and selects, fits and troubleshoots hearing aids and frequency modulation (FM) devices.
She is committed to building a trusting, respectful relationship with patients and their families. Al-Souqi empowers each patient to take an active role in their health care and believes in shared decision-making.
In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Al-Souqi’s research interests focus on advancing strategies to enhance speech perception and understanding in noisy environments. She is also a clinical assistant professor of otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, helping to train future audiologists.
Outside of work, Al-Souqi loves traveling and exploring other cultures. She has visited 36 countries and counting, including time spent volunteering in Peru, Jordan, Nepal and India.
