David H. Liang, MD, PhD, is a cardiologist with Keck Medicine of USC who specializes in the diagnosis and management of aortic diseases. A recognized expert in Marfan syndrome and genetic aortopathies, he provides comprehensive care for patients who require lifelong cardiovascular management. Dr. Liang also specializes in advanced imaging and innovative treatments for complex inherited conditions.
Dr. Liang is driven by a commitment to ensuring that every patient has access to the most advanced innovations in imaging, research and clinical care. He completed all aspects of his medical training at Stanford University, including a residency in internal medicine and a cardiovascular medicine fellowship at Stanford Hospital. After completing his training, he stayed on the faculty for 25 years to teach and lead the Stanford Center for Marfan Syndrome and Related Aortic Conditions.
A devoted educator with decades of leadership at the intersection of patient care, technology and clinical research, Dr. Liang serves as a professor of clinical medicine for the Keck School of Medicine of USC. His ongoing research focuses on precision medicine for Marfan syndrome, as well as advancements in echocardiography and improvements in the diagnosis and treatment of genetic aortopathies.
