Laser Skin Resurfacing

Laser Skin Resurfacing

The skin begins to show its age as it loses its volume and elasticity. Age spots, uneven texture and discoloration are also results of aging and exposure to the sun. The skin on the face and neck should be as clear and smooth as possible to produce beautiful results.

Who is a candidate for laser skin resurfacing?

Men and women who have concerns about aging, skin color discoloration, fine lines, wrinkles, prevention of wrinkles or acne scarring are perfect candidates for laser skin resurfacing.

What is the procedure and recovery like?

Laser skin resurfacing is performed either in-office or in the operating room. Patients who require less aggressive laser resurfacing are normally treated in our office with numbing cream. Patients who need a more aggressive treatment may require an operating room setting to achieve positive results. Often, this is performed with another procedure to ensure the best visible results (a facelift or eyelid surgery, for example).

Recovery from laser skin resurfacing varies with each patient. Recovery includes redness and may last from two to seven days. Mild discomfort may be common the first week after the procedure.

Our experienced surgeons reduce bruising and recovery time with the application of state-of-the-art techniques and the use of homeopathic or herbal options. Detailed postoperative and aftercare instructions will be provided to each patient.
